ONLY OPEN TO VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE DONE AT LEAST 10 HOURS/5 SHIFTS OF DOG WALKING
This event is very close to a busy street and has a lot of people eating at tables with their families which is why it has extra hour requirements to ensure you can handle the dogs confidently. If you are unsure if you have completed enough hours, call, text or email Berkeley and she will let you know.
Help our Offsite Adoption team adopt out shelter dogs to the public. Meet at the patio food court and help Joy, Heather, or Berkeley unload and set up supplies and dogs. Speak with the public about the dogs we have brought out for adoption. Answer public questions about shelter programs to the best of your ability (ask staff if you are unsure of the answer to questions.) Follow any instructions given by Staff. Help them pack up at the end of the event. Remember, you are representing KCAS please do your best to be friendly, outgoing, and helpful to all members of the public.
