Join the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce as a volunteer at the Tampa General Hospital Loggerhead Triathlon. Since its inception in 1985, this triathlon has attracted triathletes from far and wide, drawn to the stunning ocean-side location, the welcoming atmosphere, and the fierce competition. 

 

We are in need of dedicated volunteers to assist us in various areas, ensuring the smooth running of the triathlon and creating a memorable experience for all involved. Here are some opportunities for you to get involved:

  1. Athlete Oasis: Help us set up and manage the Athlete Oasis, a rest and recovery area for the participants. You will be responsible for providing refreshments like water, sports drinks, and snacks. Additionally, offering encouragement and support to the athletes during their breaks will make a significant impact.

  2. Swim/Bike/Run Course: Become a cheerleader for the triathletes along the Swim/Bike/Run Course. Your role will involve guiding participants and spectators, ensuring a clear and safe course, and providing motivation as the athletes pass by. You may also be involved in offering water and other necessary supplies at designated points along the course.

  3. Finish Line: Join us at the Finish Line, where you'll assist with timing and distributing finisher medals or refreshments to the participants as they complete the race. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate their achievements and create lasting memories for the triathletes.

  4. Transition Area: Support the smooth transition between different legs of the triathlon by volunteering in the Transition Area. Help direct athletes to their designated spots, organize equipment, and provide any necessary assistance or information.

  5. Water Stations: Keep the participants hydrated by volunteering at the Water Stations. Your responsibilities will include setting up tables, filling cups or bottles with water or sports drinks, and distributing them to the triathletes as they pass by. You'll also be responsible for cleaning up the area and restocking supplies as needed.

We appreciate your dedication and enthusiasm as a volunteer. Please follow the instructions provided by the event organizers and commit to the duration of your volunteer shift. Your support will contribute to the overall success of the triathlon and help create a positive and memorable experience for all involved.
