Opportunity Name:
Como Park Steward

Description:

This opportunity is in partnership with District 10.

Park Stewards are volunteer groups or individuals who assist in the upkeep and general beautification of Saint Paul's parks and trails. The Park Steward program is designed to enhance—not replace—regular maintenance of the parks.

Location: after registration someone will reach out to you so you can pick or selection a parcel of land to maintain around Como Regional Park. CLICK HERE for a map of the available parcels.

Hours: Duties to be carried out at the convenience of the volunteer. Minimum of two site visits to your park each month. More frequent visits are encouraged.

Impact: Clean, well-kept parks and trails are safer and healthier places for residents. Your volunteer efforts help generate pride in our parks and demonstrate a commitment to your community.

Supplies: you are encouraged to use your own bag or bucket. If you need garbage bags the city will supply them to you.

Reporting: you will be asked to report (online or via email) hours volunteered and weight of trash collected. This can be done daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly.
