| Description:
Our day camp is for children ages 5-11 in North Waco area during the summer. The purpose of our program is to positively impact the lives of these children through education, spiritual, and character development. Day Camp meets Monday-Thursday from 8:45 am-12:30pm at our children’s center, the Rock. We need volunteers to assist Tuesday - Thursday with the day camp.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays are days that we stay at the ROCK children's building, and on Thursdays we take the children on field trips within the community.
Please note that prior to volunteering with children & youth, you will need to complete, the general volunteer orientation, the sexual abuse prevention training, and the children & youth training. You can sign up for orientation with the children & youth training here. To access the sexual abuse prevention training, click this link. At the end it will take you to a quiz and questionnaire to complete PRIOR to the children & youth training. If the listed times do not work for the children & youth training, please reach out to McKenzie Lacy at mmiller@missionwaco.org. Background checks are also required yearly.
