The Kokoda Youth Foundation is a dedicated and passionate non-profit organisation committed to running experiential youth programs, which help young people gain physical and mental resilience, confidence, and instill in them the values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice through the story of the Kokoda Campaign in 1942.

The Kokoda Challenge is a signature event that embodies these values and is the main fundrasing avenue for the Kokoda Youth Foundation.


Position Overview:
We are seeking meticulous and detail-oriented Track Marking Volunteers to assist in the preparation for the Kokoda Challenge.

As a Track Marking Volunteer, you will play a vital role in ensuring participants follow the designated route by accurately marking the course, contributing to the overall success and safety of the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Course Marking: Work with your Track Marking Team to accurately mark the event route using tree tinsel, signage and motivational signs.
  • Consistent Marking Standards: Ensure that track markings are consistent, visible, and clearly guide participants along the course.
  • Communication with Event Staff: Keep open communication with event organizers and staff, reporting any issues, concerns, or inconsistencies observed during track marking..

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to navigate and mark the event course.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with outdoor and trail environments is a plus.
