Join our  Community Needs Bank Driving Team!

 

Lend a hand to homebound seniors and neighbors in need by delivering essential food items.  Deliver on your own or with a friend- your schedule, your choice! Let's spread smiles, one delivery at a time.

 

If you are interested in a hands-on, meaningful volunteer opportunity, this is for you! Volunteers will have direct interactions with recipients by phone and in-person when they deliver their food.

 

FLEXIBILITY: Deliveries are usually Wednesdays and Fridays – you sign-up for a delivery when you are available to help – it is not necessary for it to be a weekly commitment, but it can be if you want to.

 

Volunteers should have:

  • A clean driving record
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and on WhatsApp
  • Be kind, caring, respectful, empathic, and non-judgement to recipients 
  • Be able to troubleshoot any problems with delivery or recipient with the food bank team on WhatsApp
  • Follow any special delivery instructions
