Are you a fluent English speaker with 1 hour/week to spare?

Volunteer as a speaking buddy and meet a new friend across the world!

We are partnering with a nonprofit that pairs Ukrainian students (ages 10-35) with English-speaking volunteers, for free online conversation practice and cross-cultural exchange.

We are seeking virtual volunteers willing to meet online with a Ukrainian student for 1 hour/week. Volunteers range from high school/college students to professionals to retirees, located in all 50 US states and 80+ countries worldwide.

The only requirement is English fluency - no teaching experience or knowledge of Ukrainian is necessary.

Volunteers make a tangible impact in their conversation partners’ lives, offering language skills, a window into a new culture, and friendship during a difficult time. At the same time, they reap immense benefits from the volunteer experience.

One volunteer recently shared, “My experience has been amazing, fulfilling, and so incredibly informative. I find myself looking forward to each session with my buddy and we communicate often between sessions. This is life changing for volunteers.” Another volunteer wrote us, "This program has been, I think, life-changing for both of us. I really consider her more like my daughter right now. That's how close we have become!"
